Brown & Clowes was established as a partnership in 1947 becoming a Limited Company in April 2007. All Directors are 'working surveyors' and have extensive knowledge of the contracts under their control. First contact is always through a Director, who will maintain a working knowledge of the contract and will always be available for discussion on any matter.

DIRECTORS

Jon Thornton, MRICS MInstCES Dip.Maint.Man. Jon has been responsible for construction and civil engineering projects in the public and private sector both in the United Kingdom and Europe. He is an experienced Employer's Agent and is the Company's Party Wall disputes expert.

Paul Newman, BSc. (Hons) MRICS. Paul has been responsible for construction projects in the public and private sector, both in the United Kingdom and Europe. He is also an experienced Project Manager and Contract Administrator. Paul has brought to the Company expertise in Risk and Value Management.

CONSULTANT

Glyn Farrington, MRICS, - partner from 1978 to 2006.
Glyn has been responsible for construction projects in the public and private sector, and for the administration of term maintenance contracts for Universities and Health Trusts. He has also acted as Employer's Agent for Design & Build Contracts. Glyn retired as a partner at the end of March 2006, but remains as a consultant to the Company.

THE WORK FORCE

All qualified surveyors currently employed by the Company are Chartered Quantity Surveyors. We work as a team to provide a high quality service for our clients. Our staff are highly motivated and innovative. Two-way dialogue is encouraged, facilitating effective communication and cross pollination of ideas throughout the Company

The Company achieved IIP Status in September 2004 and is committed to providing ongoing training to the workforce.
